Adding Your Personal Information

Set up your personal travel profile to customize your Expensify Travel expense and speed up future bookings.


How to access the travel tool

  • In New Expensify: Click the green + button in the bottom-left corner of your screen, then select Book travel.
  • In Classic Expensify: Click Travel in the left-hand menu, then select Book or manage travel.

Don’t see the travel feature? Reach out to your Account Manager or Concierge to schedule a travel demo and get it enabled for your account.


Why it matters

Filling out your travel profile saves time every time you book. We’ll automatically populate your traveler information into flight, hotel, car, or rail bookings, so you won’t have to type it out every time like you would when using other travel search engines.


How to add or update your personal information

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the travel portal.
  2. Select My Profile from the dropdown menu.
  3. You’ll land on the Personal tab. From here, you can:

Basic identity details

  • Upload or update your profile photo
  • First name
  • Middle name
  • Last name
  • Preferred name
  • Title (e.g., Mr., Ms., Dr.)
  • Suffix (e.g., Jr., Sr.)

Traveler information

  • Gender
  • Pronouns
  • Date of birth

Contact details

  • Phone number(s)

Language preference

  • Select your preferred language from the dropdown menu

Addresses

  • Add multiple address types (e.g., home, work, office)

Travel documents

  • Upload:
    • Passport
    • National ID
    • Known Traveler Number
    • Redress Number

Emergency contact

  • Enter the name and contact details for one emergency contact

Your information is saved automatically as you update each field.

Your information will auto-fill into future bookings, saving you time and reducing the chance of typos when you’re in a rush.

Do I need to upload all travel documents?

Not necessarily—but adding them up front speeds up bookings and ensures smoother travel experiences, especially for international trips.

Can I update this information later?

Absolutely. Just go back to My Profile anytime to make changes.
