Delete a Workspace
If you’re looking to remove or close a workspace you no longer need, the Workspace owner can delete it. Deleting a workspace is permanent and cannot be undone.
Who can delete a workspace
Only the Workspace owner can delete a workspace they own.

How to delete a workspace
- In the navigation tabs (on the left on web, on the bottom on mobile), go to Workspaces > [workspace name].
- Select the three dots (⋮) next to the workspace you want to delete.
- Choose Delete workspace.
- Confirm that you want to delete the Workspace.
What happens after you delete a workspace
After you confirm the deletion:
- The Workspace is permanently deleted and can’t be recovered.
- Workspace rooms are archived. Historical chats remain available to view, but no new messages can be sent.
- Submitted expenses and reports remain available to workspace admins, auditors, and the original submitter.
- Unsubmitted expenses and reports remain available to the submitter and can be assigned to another workspace.
- Outstanding expenses and reports can be retracted by the submitter and assigned to another workspace.
FAQ
Why can’t I delete my Workspace?
You must be the workspace owner to delete a Workspace. If your Workspace is on an Annual subscription, you can’t delete it until the end of the current subscription term.

What happens to my expenses after I delete a Workspace?
Submitted expenses and reports remain available to workspace admins, auditors, and the original submitter. Unsubmitted expenses and reports remain available to the submitter and can be reassigned to another Workspace.
