Companies on the Team and Corporate plans can integrate with Bill.com. This integration allows employee expense reports to be submitted directly to Bill.com.
Create the Bill.com Connection
Go to the Connections section of your policy settings (Settings > Policies > [Policy Name] > Connections) and choose “Connect to Bill.com”. Then enter your company’s Bill.com email address and click “update”.
All employee expense reports on this policy will now be submitted to this Bill.com email address.
When employees click “submit”, they will see the Bill.com email address listed. This field is non-editable.
Once the report is submitted, a PDF copy will be placed in the company Bill.com account. The report will then be put in the “closed” state in Expensify and the report will be marked as exported to Bill.com.
(Alternative) Submit to Bill.com as part of your Approval Workflow
If you’d still like to approve your employees’ reports in Expensify before sharing with Bill.com, we have you covered! As the approver, just add your bill.com address to the share with accountant field on the report once it’s been final approved and click ‘submit’. Also, make sure you check the ‘Attach PDF’ checkbox as pictured below.
